With a brand new baby, something sweet and indulgent is the prefect treat. So whether you make them yourself or get store bought, chocolate strawberries will sure to brighten up the face of any chocolate lover.
A Baby Sitter IOU
While it’s likely new parents will have trouble leaving their new bundles of joy initially, once they’re comfortable you can be there to help get make date night a reality. Give the new mom and dad Baby Sitter IOU cards that they can ‘turn in’ to you when they need a night out.
A Home Cooked Meal (or two)
Having a prepared meal ready to go will be a godsend to sleepy new parents. Whip up a fresh salad, bake some brownies, stir up some soup, or steam some veggies, (or bring them their favorite restaurant meal to go) the possibilities are endless! Just make sure to be mindful if mom is breastfeeding (some foods may upset her and/or the baby).
Acts of Service
This one is probably one of the most helpful gifts a new parent can receive. Visit them, the new baby and while you’re there tidy up for them a bit. Whether it’s doing the dishes, cleaning the kitchen, helping with laundry, vacuuming/sweeping, you name it! You might have to push through some initial reluctance to allow this gift to happen, but in the end it’ll be worth it!
A Massage
Don’t worry this wasn’t included under acts of service for a reason! Simply present your friends with a gift certificate for a massage at the spa of your choice. This will go down in their books as one of the best gifts for sure!
