How many times have you been invited out and your first excuse is the ‘nothing to wear’ dilemma? This seems to be a problem for women everywhere! I was inspired by a blog from JourneyChic, and jotted down my favorite tips for dressing, and feeling, your best. So get out a paper and pen to take some notes, you may be surprised by how easy these are!

1.You can never go wrong with a pair of well-fitted black slacks, they’re a must have. Then just add your favorite blouse, throw some fun shoes into the mix and you’ve got yourself an outfit!

2. Don’t shy away from prints, but keep them to a minimal. Pair a printed top with a neutral colored cardigan and a nice pair of jeans to even out the look.

3. Cinch that waist! Adding the right belt to an outfit will give the illusion of a smaller waistline and can help hide that new mommy tummy.

4. Add a blazer to dress up a simple t-shirt and pants, and for the finishing touch, accessorize with bright, fun pieces to tie the outfit together!

5. Lastly, do some research ladies. Learn more about your figure shape. Are you pear or apple shaped? Do you have more of an hourglass, or are you more an athletic build? Knowing this will help you in bring out your best features, and make you more knowledgeable when searching for the best clothes to compliment your shape.

Now go experiment in your closet and put some fun outfits together! Work with what you’ve got, and shop smart with your girlfriends! Next time you’re invited out, you will be the first one out the door!
