Rainbow toast is a great twist on a classic and your children can enjoy helping you make it. You’ll only need bread slices, food coloring, and milk (or any dairy free alternative). They’ll want to have this Food Allergy Eats rainbow toast every day!
Find a place on the kitchen table or counter top where you’ll be making your awesome rainbow toast. Grab some bowls, place them in a row and pour about ¼ cup of milk in each.
Next, open your box of food coloring and in each bowl add a few drops of one color, making sure to keep the colors separated.
Now that everything is set up, give a piece or two of bread to your kids. Let your children use a butter knife or spatula to paint on the colors of the rainbow onto the pieces of bread.
After they’ve finished, pop your painted bread into the toaster. Once it’s toasted take out the rainbow masterpiece and chow down! Have you made this colorful creation before? Tell us what you and your kiddos thought in the comments below.
