What kid doesn’t like fruit roll ups? This healthy recipe is easy to make and bursting with so much mango flavor. For all the fruit roll up lovers out there, this is a wonderful way to enjoy this candy without all the sugar, and no dehydrator required. With only ten minutes of prep time and four hours of cooking time, this will be everyones favorite new snack.
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 175 degrees, grab two cooking sheets and place parchment paper on each one. Peel and dice three mangos (or 4 cups worth), then add them into the food processor or blender.
Dice up mango pieces until they are pureed into liquid form. Pour the mango puree onto both cookie sheets evenly. Use the spatula to spread it out as flat as can be, about 1/8 inch thick.
Now place them in the oven and bake them for 3-4 hours until they are dry to the touch. If one side is dry and the other is wet, then just flip it over and continue to bake until completely dry.
Once they are cooked thoroughly, remove them from the oven and place them on your countertop. Cut another piece of parchment and place it on top of the fruit, it will stick and can easily be peeled off together.
Now use the knife to cut long fruit roll up pieces, then roll them up. To keep the Mango roll ups fresh for a week, keep them stored in an airtight container.
Now you and your children can enjoy a new mango fruit roll up anytime of the day. Who knows it might just turn out to be your new favorite snack. You might just be finding yourself making this snack every week for your kid’s lunch or yours as well. This snack is so healthy it can be eaten at anytime of the day. Maybe even a snack before your pre-workout? Why not, right? Let’s just say this snack is for everyone!
