Even if your destination is only an hour’s drive away, carrying some snacks along with you can help combat kiddo crankiness, and fill them up until the next meal. Your kids will love this trail mix for its taste, and you’ll love how easy and nutritious it is!
Here is a list of things you will need:
-1 C. Wheat Chex Mix
-1 C. Multi Grain Cheerios
-1 C. Reduced Fat Triscuits broken up
-1 C. Yogurt covered pretzels
-½ C. Blanched almonds
-½ C. Chopped dried apples
-½ C. Dried banana chips
-½ C. Dried blue berries
-½ C. Unsalted cashews
-½ C. Dark Chocolate M&Ms
-1/3 C. Shredded unsweetened coconut
-1/3 C. Sunflower kernels
-1/3 C. Salted pumpkin seeds or pepitas
-1 Large mixing bowl
-1 Airtight container
-Snack size zip lock baggies
Now, just grab your mixing bowl and pour all the ingredients in and mix them up well. Store this mix in an airtight container.
All these ingredients make up to 16 servings, which should last you for a few car rides, visits to the park, doctors visits, etc.!
