Parents, if you’ve always enjoyed the HMNS, or just haven’t had an opportunity to really explore the Houston gem this event is the prefect chance!
Every Friday beginning in February, Houston Museum of Natural Science hosts their Mixers and Elixirs event, encouraging Houstonians twenty-one and over to partake in an after hours museum party. Cash bars and food trucks like HTown StrEATS are posted around the general exhibits, and the designated monthly performer is set up in the paleontology wing to get the dance party started– you’re literally dancing under the dinosaurs!
On Saturday, June 21st from 7pm to 10pm, the live act is the Royal Dukes and the theme is Summer Solstice. On July 18th, the theme is Comic Con, during August the 24th, it’s a Pluto Pity Party, isn’t that a riot? Poor Pluto. For September 19th it’s Talk Like a Pirate Day and lastly on October 31st the theme is (my personal favorite) Spirits and Skeletons! There’s no cost of admission, just bring your ID and enjoy the entire general admission wings of the museum while sipping your favorite cocktail!
