It’s summer time again and the birds are singing! Show your little one to enjoy nature by making their very own bird feeder. This simple pinecone craft will be a treat not only your child, but the local birds as well! We have lots of pinecones to choose from in our neighborhood, so it’s like a little adventure finding the perfect ones.
Supplies:
- Pinecone
- Peanut butter
- String or yarn
- Plate full of birdseed
First, cover the entire pinecone in peanut butter. Then roll the pinecone on the plate of birdseed until you can no longer see any of the peanut butter. Tie your string or yarn from the pinecone’s stem and hang from a tree branch near your window, awaiting the birdies!
