Easter is almost here! For our family, it means dressing in our Sunday best and celebrating together with family and friends. Here is an Easter craft you and your daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin or any young lady would enjoy making, and you get to wear them after words for Easter dinner or the next tea party!
Materials:
-Disposable heavy paper plates (white)
-Disposable heavy paper bowls (white)
-Ribbon (any color preferred by child, or a color that will match her dress)
-Cardstock (for the flowers, choose different colors if your prefer)
-Hot Glue Gun (and glue sticks)
-Hand held hole puncher
-Elmer’s Glue
-Scissors
-Glitter (optional)
-Tissue paper (Optional)
Follow these simple instructions:
1. Gather your materials and set them on the table or surface you’ll be working on, then plug in your glue gun and set it aside. Remember, the gun will get very hot! So position away from the little ones.
2. Use the scissors to cut a circle in center of the plate where your bowl will fit perfectly. If your child is too young then do this step for them.
3. Grab your hole puncher, and punch two holes on each side of the plate towards the lip. The ribbon will be laced through those.
5. Now, get your glue gun and glue the bowl to the plate.
6. Let your little lady pick the ribbon she wants, cut two long pieces and string a piece through one side and vice versa.
7. Next, use the cardstock paper and cut out different sized spirals for the flowers. Use green cardstock to make leaves.
8. Tightly roll the cardstock spirals completely starting at one end. Then slowly unroll the spiral until it looks like a rose and hot glue gun the bottom so it doesn’t come undone.
10. You can glue the roses along the edges of her hat, then have your little one sprinkle glitter on.
11. Use the tissue paper to make the hat band that covers the seams of the plate and bowl.
Once its’ dry, voila have your little girl try on her Easter bonnet. Now she is ready for Easter Sunday or playing dress up! Don’t forget to take a few pictures and capture these moments with your little lady.
