Independence Day is a cherished holiday in America, and Houston knows just how to celebrate it! Brought to you this year by Mayor Annise D. Parker, the 4th of July festival Freedom Over Texas has been a Houston tradition for decades.
Located in Eleanor Tinsley Park from 4pm to 10pm on July 4th, this six-hour freedom themed bash is full of fun for your entire family, including child-centered activities along with fun for adults as well. Featured on the Southwest Airlines Stage will be a performance by country music artist Jennifer Nettles complete with flyovers made by vintage aircrafts!
Then, take your kids over to the Walmart All-American Kids Zone where they can have fun riding rides, making crafts, watching magicians, and more! When you’re ready for some adult time, head over to the Bud Light Zone and enjoy some music, a relaxed atmosphere and some adult beverages at the tiki bar.
After a day full of fun and excitement, kick back with an awe-inspiring fireworks show to celebrate our wonderful freedoms as Americans! All of this plus much more is in store for you and your family, so buy your tickets now and prepare to let freedom ring! General admission is $8, and $10 on July 4th online and at the gate.
