A trip to Moody Gardens in Galveston will make the kids feel like they’re on a vacation! There are three pyramids packed with things to see, from a Discovery pyramid, to Aquarium and Rainforest pyramids that contain shows, birds, monkeys, sharks, penguins, exotic plants, artifacts and so much more!
The park is essentially broken into the three pyramids. The Discovery Pyramid is host to a traveling pirate exhibit called Real Pirates. You can view items recovered on the Whydah wreckage site, the first authenticated pirate ship discovery in U.S. waters. After, you can head over to the Ridefilm Theatre, were your theatre seats moves and jolts along with the Happy Feet short story for an exciting movie experience.
If you loved the Ridefilm Theatre, head over to the incredible 3D and 4D movie theatres. The 3D theatre has the largest screen in Texas! And the 4D theatre gives you the 3D experience, along with seat sensors, wind, leg ticklers and more to really feel like you’re in the movie!
The Aquarium and Rainforest pyramids are the crowning jewels of the park, with roaming monkeys, birds, penguins and sharks, all living in their natural environments for you to explore!
You can even take a trip into the Gulf of Mexico on the colonel paddlewheel boat. There are also amazing seasonal attractions like the ropes courses, zip line, water park and the beautiful festival of lights.
And the best part is, if you’re too exhausted from all the excitement, there’s a Moody Gardens Hotel and golf course to perfect for relaxing after a long day. Does your family love Moody Gardens? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
