As parents, it’s important that we educate our children on different cultures and why the tolerance of their individual customs is so crucial to a harmonious world, especially in such a culturally diverse city as Houston.
At the Houston International Festival, your child can learn first-hand some of the great traditions that exist within these cultures while having a blast! On April 26-27 and May 3-4 2014, bring your family to downtown Houston to enjoy live music from around the world, cuisine from various countries, and seven markets displaying different types of beautiful artwork.
Traditionally the Houston International Festival honors a specific country, focusing on that country’s unique history, cultural significance and art. This year the featured country is Australia, meaning that you and your family will have the opportunity to learn all about what makes Australia so special! Tickets are $18 dollars for adults, $5 dollars for kids, and children under three years get in for free. Don’t let your family miss this day of fun, culture, and education!
