7 Acre Wood is an old fashioned style family fun park just a quick jot north of Houston in Conroe. Once you step outside of the city, the Wood provides a taste of the country life with a petting zoo, hay rides and horseshoes.
Their petting zoo has friendly animals your kids will be delighted to interact with directly such as donkeys, chickens, ponies, a cow, a pig and even some new adorable baby goats. If your kids are really interested in the ponies you can even arrange for a Pony Lover’s Party where everyone gets a chance to ride either Apache or Bullet, 7 acre’s lovely ponies. There’s a full playground with slides, an exciting zip line and horseshoes, a mini golf course and even a full old Western Fort and play town. You can become sheriff and lock up the bad guys or just mosey on in to the Saloon.
They provide field trip opportunities year-round, and it’s an inexpensive option to have an outing for school, daycare or even birthday parties. General park admission is only $6 per person and they offer discounts for seniors and special needs children. Instead of paying a large flat fee to do everything, they keep it simple – you pay for what you want to do. Hay rides, pony rides and barrel car train rides are sold separately per rider so you don’t have to worry that you’re paying for something one of your little ones isn’t interested in.
So check out 7 Acre Wood soon, whether just for a family outing, a field trip or scout outing. They have something for everyone in your family to enjoy.
